History: Carl’s Jr was founded by Carl N. Karcher in 1941. Karcher began his business expedition with a single hot dog cart in 1941, which grew to four in number and led to foundation of his first restaurant Carl’s drive-in barbeque at Anaheim, California within five-year period.
