History: The chain was founded by Dolores and Don Dissman. They opened first restaurant in Austin, Texas in year 1971. Initially, the restaurant served only one kind of sandwich that was used to be prepared from meat, black olives and cheeses. By 1981, the chain was expanded to 100 locations. Same year, it was purchased by Jeff Wooley, Gary Bradley and John Wooley. Later, Gray separated from Wooley and the chain remained in the ownership of two partners.
