Also, Tyson acquired 90% of another poultry firm, Valmac Industries. By 1992, the company had acquired Arctic Alaska Fisheries Corporation and Louis Kemp Seafood Company to diversify its operations in seafood. In mid-2001, Tyson acquired IBP, world’s largest beef processor, transforming the company into the largest diversified meat company in the world.

Presence: Counted under one of the world’s largest processors and marketers of chicken, beef, and pork, Tyson Foods is the second-largest food production start-up in the Fortune 500. The company has over 120,000 employees spread over 32 states and has productions in Russia and China as well.
