History:- Whataburger was founded by Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton with the first store opened in Corpus Christi, Texas in year 1950. A year later, the two partners broke their partnership and Burton owned a franchise in San Antonio, Texas. Dobson started expanding the business by franchising the restaurant operations. The chain is still operated by Dobson’s family along with several stores run by the help of 25 franchisers.
